They Still Don't Get It (cont..) or News You Can't Use

I spent this past weekend at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Like many resorts, the Grand Hotel prints a daily synopsis of news for guests on the go. This past Sunday the following stories were taken from their New York Times Digest:

1) In California, a federal judge continues a fight with the federal government over a certain species of salmon. Each president since Bill Clinton has fought against excessive costs associated with excessive accommodations to prevent the supposed elimination of a species of salmon. President Obama's latest offer to spend $100 million apparently isn't enough.

2) This coming week, leaders from around the globe will converge on New York and the United Nations. On the agenda is global warming and collective efforts to eradicate our carbon footprint. But too many countries are being "selfish" by not agreeing to adopt jobs killing policies like cap and trade like we are.

3) Despite all the worlds leaders' adoration and respect for Barack Obama, and their constant clamoring for a meeting or an audience with him, our new president's foreign policies are "surprisingly" not having the effect of reversing or helping to ameliorate the bad feelings left by George Bush.

You can't make this stuff up. The slobbering and sycophantic obsession with President Obama or anything "progressive", is the signature of the "Gray Lady." And people wonder why we are marching in the streets.
